2250 m³/h Seawater Submersible Pump for a European Offshore Platform

A European customer purchased a large seawater submersible pump for an offshore platform water supply system. The project required high flow, high pressure and reliable corrosion resistance in a continuous seawater environment.

The selected pump was the 900QBH2250-112/2, equipped with a 1250 kW submersible motor.

The pump combines a large flow rate with a 112-metre discharge head, making it suitable for offshore seawater intake and high-pressure water transfer systems.

Because the pump operates directly in seawater, the main components were manufactured from Super Duplex Stainless Steel 2507. This material provides strong resistance to chloride corrosion, pitting and crevice corrosion.

The completed pump solution met the customer’s requirements for high capacity, high head and marine corrosion resistance. It is suitable for offshore platforms, coastal pumping stations and large industrial seawater systems.
